The Jordan Hotels Association participated actively in the Sustainable Tourism Forum in Jordan, organized by the Center for Import Promotion (CBI) in cooperation with the Jordanian Tourism Promotion Authority (JTB). The Forum aims to promote dialogue and cooperation among tourism actors, thus contributing to the sector’s development to become more sustainable.
The Association represented by the General Manager, Mr. Mustafa Kawash, who reviewed the Association’s efforts in supporting sustainability in the hotel sector, noting the importance of keeping up with international standards in this area. It also provided insights on promoting sustainable practices within Jordanian hotels to achieve a balance between development and environmental conservation.
The CBI project is part of international efforts to promote sustainable tourism and increase the resilience of the tourism sector, by developing products, adhering to global certificates, and facilitating market access. During the forum, successful strategic partnerships were highlighted with organizations such as Travelife and Top 100 of Green Destinations, which contributed to enhancing Jordan’s image as a sustainable tourism destination globally.
In his statement, Kawash emphasized that:
“The Association’s participation in this forum confirms its continued commitment to the development of the hotel sector in line with sustainable tourism standards, as we work with our local and international partners to provide a distinct model that reflects Jordan’s image as a leading and sustainable tourist destination.”
This participation is part of the Jordan Hotels Association’s ongoing efforts to enhance the competitiveness of the hotel sector and achieve sustainable development goals by applying best practices in various aspects of hotel work.
